Overview

Carry Me Home: A Live and Virtual Journey Into the Creative Mind of Singer/Songwriter Didier Stowe was a groundbreaking collaboration with Samuel Tétreault and Les 7 Doigts, combining live on-stage music and circus performance with real-time animation created in Unreal Engine. Audiences were transported into the story worlds of six original songs through on-stage projection, live video streaming, immersive VR, and interactive pixel-streamed playable experiences—all running simultaneously during the live performance. As Co-Creative Director and Technical Supervisor, I was responsible for all Unreal Engine content as well as the multi-channel show-control and distribution framework. The system demanded ultra-low-latency performance capture, robust character rigs and effects, and the design of four completely different simultaneous experiences from the same content—each providing a unique audience journey. This unprecedented fusion of live circus, music, and multi-channel real-time virtual experience earned the 2024 Numix Prize for Best XR Experience.
